Schalkenbosch Estate is situated on the outskirts of Tulbagh, an easy 80 min drive from Cape Town. The estate is a working farm of approx 2500ha. It produces some 600ha of grain, mostly wheat, 20ha of apricots and plums, and 40ha of grapes for the production of wine.

Three self-catering cottages
There are three self-catering cottages on Schalkenbosch which are comfortably furnished with DSTV and cosy fireplaces. The kitchens are fully equipped with small stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and all basic cooking utensils. Each cottage has its own private braai/BBQ area for which firewood is supplied.
