Edenhof Country Estate
An 18 hole Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones II is to be built using the latest bio friendly methods of construction and maintenance. There will be 520 freehold housing units, a hotel, spa and wellness centre. The course is in a rural setting surrounded by mountains, 2 kms from the historical and picturesque town of Tulbagh.
Edenhof Lifestyle Village
The Edenhof Lifestyle Village is a gated security complex opposite the Golf course and situated on the outskirts of the Tulbagh town with 103 detached freehold units.
Edenhof Conservation Estate
This will comprise 50 freehold sites situated in the Edenhof Conservation Estate, at the foot of the Witzenberg mountains within a 1000 ha nature reserve. The reserve has been contracted to Cape Nature and adjoins the Witzenberg Nature Reserve. This exclusive reserve will be game fenced and access controlled. Indigenous species of fauna will be reintroduced to bolster the existing population of Leopard, Rooikat(Lynx,) Jackal, Grey Rhebok etc. Owners will build lodge style homes amongst the fynbos conforming to strict architectural guidelines using naturally sourced materials.
Residents of all three developments will have access to the nature reserve on foot, horseback or mountain bike. No motorized transport will be allowed. An equestrian centre will be based at the existing race horse stud for those residents wishing to stable horses.
“Schalkenbosch is committed to the conservation and preservation of indigenous fauna and flora and is a member of the biodiversity and wine initiative.”
